For a great looking, long lasting henna stain, avoid the following:
- petroleum based products such as regular commercial
skin lotion, sunscreen, baby / mineral oil or Vaseline
- excess rubbing of the area; the rubbing of clothing and shoes
on the design will cause your henna design to fade exfoliating, waxing or shaving over your henna
- bleaching products & chlorinated pools / hot tubs
- excessive showering
- antioxidant based products such as vitamin E
